"Daniel es mi gallo" or “Daniel Is My Cockerel”, Managua, Nicaragua.
While taking this a member of the neighbourhood came over and explained the significance of the grafitti. Translated into English it means "Daniel is my cockerel" which refers to a cock fighting term meaning "I'm backing Daniel". Daniel is Daniel Ortega who was president of Nicaragua from 1985-1990. He was one of the leading commanders of the Sandinista forces that ousted Nicaraguan dictator Anastasio Somoza in July 1979, he became head of the ruling junta in the subsequent leftist regime.
